Kallas: The EU remains committed to peace and stability in the region
Brussels, May 10 (Hibya) – Kaja Kallas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, said that the EU remains committed to peace, stability, and the fight against terrorism in the region.
Kallas announced that she held renewed talks with Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar.
She noted that the ceasefire declared between India and Pakistan is a vital step towards de-escalation, and said:
“Every effort must be made to ensure it is respected. The EU remains committed to peace, stability, and combating terrorism in the region.”
