Kallas: Wars are interconnected
Brussels, March 26 (Hibya) - EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas stated that the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine are interconnected, emphasizing the need to maintain pressure on Russia.
European Commission Vice-President and EU High Representative Kallas said that conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine are linked. “The war in the Middle East has serious global impacts. We will discuss with our G7 partners ways to end the conflict,” she said.
Kallas also highlighted the situation in Ukraine: “Russia’s attacks on civilians and infrastructure are increasing day by day. Therefore, we must maintain pressure on Russia and force it to negotiate in good faith.” The EU stated that it will continue to prioritize diplomatic solutions and international cooperation in both the Middle East and Ukraine crises.
