Kristersson: We will purchase 4 frigates from France
Stockholm, August 31 (Hibya) - Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson announced that during French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Stockholm, a defense cooperation agreement and a contract for the Swedish Armed Forces to purchase four frigates to be built by France's Naval Group will be signed.
Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson made a statement on his social media account ahead of French President Macron's visit to Stockholm.
Kristersson said, “Today, a framework agreement on defense cooperation and a contract for the Swedish Armed Forces to purchase four French frigates built by Naval Group will be signed.”
Kristersson said the agreements would strengthen cooperation between Sweden and France, adding that the development also reaffirmed the commercial ties between the two countries.
