Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

The ministers discussed the serious military-political crisis in the Middle East that emerged as a result of “unprovoked attacks” by the United States and Israel against Iran.

The parties also exchanged views on the possibilities of resolving the conflict through political and diplomatic means based on international law, taking into account the legitimate interests of all countries in the region.

Lavrov also informed his Iranian counterpart that Russia had carried out a new shipment of humanitarian aid to Iran.
