Lavrov meets with IAEA Director General Grossi
New York, September 24 (Hibya) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi met during the High-Level Week events held as part of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

According to a statement by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting included a comprehensive exchange of views on the main areas of cooperation between Russia and the IAEA.
The meeting also addressed Ukraine’s attacks and provocations against the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and the city of Enerhodar, where the plant’s personnel are located.
The Russian side stated that the situation regarding Iran’s nuclear program was also specifically assessed in light of attacks by Israel and the United States on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities under IAEA supervision.
