Lazzarini: No evidence of aid diversion in Gaza
New York, July 27 (Hibya) – Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), reported that there is no evidence of aid diversion in Gaza.
UNRWA Commissioner-General Lazzarini stated that there is no evidence of aid diversion in Gaza. In his statement, he said, "The allegations were solely intended to damage the reputation of the humanitarian community and to attempt to implement a sinister and politically motivated distribution plan."
Lazzarini also emphasized that the time has come for principled and large-scale humanitarian intervention, including UNRWA.
