Leyen: We are investing in research to make our ocean healthier
Brussels, June 9 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that they are investing in research to make the ocean healthier.
President Leyen noted that the ocean feeds humanity, cools it, and connects the world.
Speaking at the UN Ocean Conference in Nice, she said: "The new High Seas Treaty means our efforts won’t stop at national waters. And we are investing in research to make our ocean healthier."
