Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

French President Emmanuel Macron made remarks on security and defense cooperation during his visit to Cyprus with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the invitation of Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides.

Emphasizing Europe's common security, Macron said: "I am in Cyprus with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the invitation of President Nikos Christodoulides. The security of all Europeans is our common interest. We immediately took solidarity measures with Cyprus, which has been subjected to numerous drone and missile attacks."

Referring to France's military presence in the region and defense support, Macron stated: "We deployed the frigate Languedoc and the Mistral air defense unit to the region. An important element contributing to the overall defense posture: the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle and its carrier strike group are currently near Cyprus."

Macron said he was closely monitoring the operational process, adding: "Before returning to Paris, I will go there to assess the situation."
