French President Macron said they received with deep sadness the antisemitic terrorist attack targeting families gathered in Sydney to celebrate Hanukkah.

Stating that France has conveyed its condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, wished a speedy recovery to the injured, and stands in solidarity with all relatives of the victims, Macron said:

“We share the pain experienced by the Australian people and once again emphasize our determination to resolutely continue the fight against antisemitic hatred, wherever and in whatever form it may arise, as it deeply wounds all societies.”
