Merz: We are reducing bureaucracy to boost competitiveness in Europe
Rome, 23 January (Hibya) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that they are reducing bureaucracy in order to increase competitiveness in Europe.
German Chancellor Merz held a meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Noting that they are cutting bureaucracy to enhance competitiveness in Europe, Merz said they are committed to an ambitious EU trade policy.
Merz described the Mercosur agreement as a turning point, adding: “Other agreements will follow; the first will be with India. On this matter, we are also in agreement with Italy.”
