Metsola: Europeans’ expectations require effective and united action
Brussels, September 1 (Hibya) - European Parliament President Roberta Metsola met with the Permanent Representatives of EU Member States and reviewed the priority issues on the Union’s agenda.
European Parliament President Roberta Metsola said they are continuing the tradition of hosting EU Permanent Representatives at the European Parliament and highlighted the importance of working together on competitiveness, trade and the budget.
Expressing her satisfaction with the traditional meeting, Metsola said, "Europeans’ expectations require effective and united action. We are pleased to continue our tradition of hosting the Permanent Representatives of EU Member States at the European Parliament."
Commenting on the agenda ahead, Metsola said, "Together, we will assess what we can achieve. There is real work ahead of us, including competitiveness, trade and the EU budget. Let’s get it done."
