Metsola: Securitisation agreement will boost investment in Europe
Brussels, October 22 (Hibya) - European Parliament President Roberta Metsola stated that the securitisation agreement will facilitate access to capital, expand lending opportunities and support safe investments across Europe.
European Parliament President Roberta Metsola commented on the securitisation agreement, which is expected to contribute to the growth of companies and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe.
Metsola stated that the agreement will help mobilise capital, increase lending opportunities and support safe investments throughout Europe, noting that Europe will create new growth opportunities for businesses.
Metsola thanked Aurore Lalucq, Chair of the European Parliament's Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, and rapporteur Ralf Seekatz for their efforts in reaching the agreement. She noted that the agreement had been reached with the Council of the European Union and Ireland, which holds the rotating EU Presidency in 2026.
