Metsola: We continue to maintain pressure on Russia
Brussels, October 23 (Hibya) – European Parliament President Roberta Metsola said that the adoption of the EU’s 19th sanctions package represents another crucial step in the process of moving away from Russian fossil fuels.
Metsola stated that they continue to maintain pressure on Russia.
She said that the adoption of the 19th sanctions package is another key step in reducing reliance on Russian fossil fuels, adding, “We must ensure that the sanctions have maximum impact and that all loopholes are closed.”
Metsola emphasized that this is not only about supporting Ukraine but also about shared security.
