Minister Şahin: Palestine’s only need is to live with dignity
Bangkok, 24 November (Hibya) – Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Farsin Aghabekian Şahin met with Thailand’s Minister of Social Development and Human Security Akara Prompao.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Dr. Farsin Aghabekian Şahin met in Bangkok with Thailand’s Minister of Social Development and Human Security Akara Prompao.
The ministry stated that the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Şahin underlined that due to ongoing attacks, the fundamental need of the Palestinian people is the protection of human dignity and social development. Expressing Palestine’s commitment to the pursuit of peace, he said: “Palestine’s only need is to live with dignity and to have a fair opportunity to rebuild what the war has destroyed.”
Şahin also emphasized the importance of strengthening mutual cooperation in areas of expertise and labor, adding that they would welcome the contributions of Thai workers in various sectors.
Minister Prompao recalled Thailand’s commitment to human rights and expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people: “We will work with all relevant authorities to protect the rights of Palestinians living in Thailand.”
At the end of the meeting, Minister Şahin expressed his satisfaction with the positive stance of the Thai government and stated that Palestine is ready to expand bilateral cooperation.
