Mixed performance in European markets: FTSE 100 and FTSE MIB lead gains
Istanbul, July 27 (Hibya) - European stock markets posted mixed performances on the final trading day of the week. While the UK and Italian markets advanced, the STOXX Europe 600, DAX, and CAC 40 indexes closed the session flat.
Investors in European markets tracked corporate earnings and global economic developments as major indexes moved in different directions.
The STOXX Europe 600 Index, which reflects the overall performance of the region, remained unchanged at 644.51 points. Germany's benchmark DAX Index also finished the day unchanged at 25,099.00 points.
France's CAC 40 Index traded flat at 8,372.28 points, while the UK's FTSE 100 Index rose 0.91% to 10,736.23 points.
Italy's FTSE MIB Index gained 0.95% to 51,802.23 points, recording one of the strongest performances among Europe's leading indexes.
Markets continued to price in corporate financial results, European economic data, and expectations for global monetary policy, while European indexes maintained a cautious but generally positive tone.
