Montenegro signs cooperation agreement with Wizz Air
Podgorica, October 14 (Hibya) – Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milojko Spajic has signed a cooperation agreement with low-cost airline Wizz Air.
Prime Minister Spajic signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wizz Air CEO József Váradi, announcing that Montenegro will become the airline’s new regional base.
Under the agreement, starting from March 2026, Montenegro will be directly connected by flights to 13 cities in 12 European countries. The new destinations include Paris, Basel-Mulhouse, Baden-Baden, Cologne, Hamburg, Rome, Maastricht, Barcelona, Ljubljana, Malmö, Gdansk, Poznan, Rzeszow, and Wroclaw.
Wizz Air will allocate two modern aircraft to Montenegro and operate a total of 23 flight routes. Prime Minister Spajic emphasized that Montenegrin citizens will be able to “travel faster and at more affordable prices,” highlighting that the country will gain strong momentum in tourism and accessibility.
