Netanyahu holds talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Magyar
Jerusalem, April 15 (Hibya) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hungary’s Prime Minister-elect Peter Magyar agreed to maintain bilateral relations and conduct mutual visits.
The phone call held today between Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Hungarian Prime Minister Magyar was recorded as the first contact between the two leaders.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized their mutual will to maintain and strengthen the close relations between Hungary and Israel. Peter Magyar stated that strong ties between the two countries would continue and invited Netanyahu to the 70th anniversary commemorations of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.
Prime Minister Netanyahu accepted the invitation and also invited Magyar to Jerusalem for an intergovernmental meeting.
Netanyahu also expressed his belief that the warm relations established during the tenure of outgoing Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán would continue in the new period.
The two leaders also agreed to hold a meeting between their foreign ministries in the near future.
