Netanyahu met with US Congressional representatives
Jerusalem, April 24 (Hibya) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met in Jerusalem with a bipartisan US Congressional delegation from Washington.
The delegation was led by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). Representatives Gregory Meeks, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Yvette Clarke, Dean Phillips, and Sara Jacobs also attended the meeting.
According to a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, Netanyahu thanked Jeffries and the other congressional members for their support of Israel and emphasized the importance of the relationship between Israel and the United States. Regional issues such as preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, the Abraham Accords, and expanding the circle of peace with the Arab world were discussed. Netanyahu stated that this cooperation is of strategic importance for both countries.
He added that the bipartisan support Israel receives from the US remains strong and is critical to Israel’s security.
