Netanyahu: We promised to restore security in the north, and we are doing it
Shmona, September 9 (Hibya) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he visited soldiers on Mount Hermon before traveling to Metula and Kiryat Shmona, stressing that they are fulfilling their promise to restore security in the north.
Netanyahu said in a post on his social media account that he began the day by visiting soldiers serving at the summit of Mount Hermon.
He said he then traveled to Metula and commented on Beaufort and Telahir, saying: "Today we are up above, and they are down below."
Netanyahu said he later traveled to Kiryat Shmona and that residents of the area were returning safely. He added that the safe return of residents was also continuing in Hatzor HaGalilit and Tzfat.
Netanyahu said they had promised to restore security in the north, adding: "And that is exactly what we are doing."
Netanyahu also wished the residents of the Galilee and the people of Israel a happy new year.
