Oil extends gains while natural gas declines in energy commodities
Istanbul, July 20 (Hibya) - Oil prices continued to rise in energy commodity markets, while natural gas prices declined. Heating oil, London Gas Oil and gasoline prices increased, while carbon emission futures posted a slight decline.
Energy commodity markets displayed a mixed performance on the final trading day of the week.
Brent crude rose 2.45% to $90.26 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude gained 2.15% to trade at $83.54 per barrel.
London Gas Oil contracts climbed 1.85% to 1,199.99. Heating Oil prices increased 1.89% to 4.1415, while gasoline (RBOB) futures gained 0.90% to trade at 3.4234.
Natural gas prices, meanwhile, fell 1.06% to 2.880.
Carbon emission futures edged down 0.10% to trade at 79.11.
