Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Bulgarian Foreign Minister Dr. Velislava Petrova-Chamova on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

According to a statement from Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, all aspects of Pakistan-Bulgaria bilateral relations were discussed during the meeting. The two sides expressed their desire to further strengthen relations between the two countries by increasing regular political and economic contacts.

The ministers also exchanged views on regional and global developments. Dar emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path for addressing unresolved issues and reiterated Pakistan's support for diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving regional issues.

The two sides agreed to maintain contact and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
