Pakistan Begins Preparations for OIC Women’s Ministers Conference
Islamabad, December 8 (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that preparations have begun for the 9th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Women’s Ministers Conference, which Pakistan will host in 2026.
It was stated that Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, chaired a meeting to review preparations for the 2026 OIC Women’s Ministers Conference.
Dar said, “It is of great importance that the conference is successfully organised in close coordination with the OIC Secretariat and relevant ministries.”
The meeting also highlighted Pakistan’s proactive role in promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment. Pakistan noted that the upcoming conference demonstrates the country’s commitment to advancing women’s issues both within the OIC framework and globally.
