According to a statement from Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul held a telephone conversation.

The statement noted that the two leaders, appreciating the positive momentum in Pakistan-Germany relations, reiterated their commitment to deeper cooperation:

"The leaders had an in-depth exchange of views on regional and global issues and agreed to maintain close dialogue to enhance mutual understanding and strengthen cooperation in areas of common interest.

They also expressed their anticipation of meeting next week at the UN General Assembly."
