Palestinian Foreign Minister Shaheen receives Red Cross representative
Ramallah, July 27 (Hibya) - Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Aghabekian Shaheen received the credentials of Claire de Foe, the newly appointed Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation Office in Palestine.

According to the ministry, Shaheen highlighted the importance of the ICRC's humanitarian work, particularly under the current circumstances, and expressed expectations regarding the protection of detainees' rights and ensuring the committee's unrestricted access to all detainees.
The meeting also addressed developments in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, while discussing ways to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Claire de Foe, the ICRC's new representative, stated that the committee would continue its humanitarian activities, noting that its current projects are primarily focused on healthcare, sanitation, water, and essential services in the Gaza Strip.
