Sofia, June 12 (Hibya) - Bulgarian Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Peev met with trade union representatives.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Bulgaria, Minister Georgi Peev met at the ministry building with representatives of the three largest trade unions within Bulgarian Posts to discuss the crisis and structural problems facing the company.
The meeting was attended by officials from the Federation of Communications Trade Unions within the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB), the Democratic Communications Trade Union, and the Communications Federation within the Podkrepa Confederation of Labour (KT Podkrepa).
Minister Peev stated that the situation within the institution was extremely complex and emphasized that the role of the trade unions would be very important during the preparation of next year's budget and financial framework.
Explaining that he had invited the union representatives to improve the company's operations and better understand the background of its financial difficulties, Peev said, "Once the problems are clarified, there can be a realistic plan."
During the meeting, union representatives stated that the biggest problem facing Bulgarian Posts is its liquidity (cash flow) shortage, which in turn triggers all other structural problems.
