Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Colombian President Gustavo Petro stated that municipal councils should design property tax regulations based on a system that ensures social justice. He emphasized that peasants, small and medium-sized landowners, and low-income property owners should not be subjected to high property taxes, saying, “Peasants and small property owners should not face excessive property taxes.”

Petro noted that the wealthiest segments should pay higher property taxes, adding that large landowners, extensive plantations, and luxury housing projects should not avoid their tax obligations to municipalities. He said, “Large landowners, large plantations, and luxury condominiums must pay property taxes to municipalities.” He also stated that these revenues are used to finance municipal services such as drinking water, education, healthcare, and local roads.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro also criticized some local administrations for practices that could lead to the displacement of peasants through high property taxes. He stated, “Property tax should not be used to displace peasants,” warning that such practices could violate the peace agreement and disrupt public order. Petro said that such cases should be reported to authorities.
