Portuguese Foreign Minister Rangel meets Ukrainian counterpart Sybiha
Lisbon, September 2 (Hibya) - Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha to discuss strengthening air defense and increasing the resilience of energy infrastructure.
Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on the sidelines of the Gymnich meeting.
During the meeting, Rangel reiterated Portugal’s solidarity with Ukraine and its support for Ukraine’s membership in the European Union.
Rangel highlighted the importance of using sanctions mechanisms to encourage the Russian Federation to begin negotiations.
The meeting also addressed strengthening Ukraine’s air defense and increasing its resilience, particularly in the energy sector.
