Qatar serves on Human Rights Council for fifth time
Doha, September 21 (Hibya) - Qatar said that it has served as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council five times since 2006 and was re-elected for the 2025-2027 term with the support of 167 countries.
Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding the country's active participation in the United Nations Human Rights Council.
The statement said that Qatar has served as a member of the Human Rights Council five times since 2006. It said that Qatar received the support of 167 countries in elections held in October 2024 and was elected to the Council for the 2025-2027 term. The United Nations also confirms Qatar's election to the Council for the 2025-2027 term.
