The State of Qatar took part in the Ukraine Mine Action Conference, held on October 22–23 in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. More than fifty countries and international organizations were represented by senior officials.

The Qatari delegation was headed by Qatar’s Ambassador to Japan, Jaber Jaralla Al Marri, and included representatives from the Ministry of Defense.

The conference, organized by the Government of Japan in cooperation with the Government of Ukraine and the United Nations, aimed to raise awareness about mine and unexploded ordnance clearance in Ukrainian territories, and to promote partnerships and international cooperation.
