Rising femicides across France protested in Paris
Paris, 26 November (Hibya) – Hundreds gathered outside the Panthéon in Paris to condemn the increase in femicides across France, holding banners and torches while calling on the government to take stronger action.
Dozens of activists from the feminist collective #NousToutes held a torch-lit protest outside the Panthéon, highlighting new figures showing a rise in femicides throughout France.
The protesters unfurled a 20-meter banner bearing the names of more than 1,180 women killed since 2017, chanting “Not one more”.

Messages criticizing the government’s response were projected onto the monument. Protesters demanded clearer legal definitions, increased funding, and stronger measures to combat gender-based violence.
