Russell: Attacks on hospitals are unacceptable
New York, 12 December (Hibya) – United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Executive Director Catherine Russell said that attacks on hospitals and places where people seek services are unacceptable.
UNICEF Executive Director Russell stated that they are deeply concerned by reports that more than 30 people were killed in an attack on a hospital in Rakhine State.
Noting that dozens of health facilities in Myanmar have been attacked this year alone, Russell said: “Attacks on hospitals and on places where children and families seek services are unacceptable.”
