Russian Presidential Deputy Chief of Staff Yuri Ushakov said the document is aimed at a long-term perspective and covers almost all key topics on the bilateral agenda.

The talks between the two leaders took place at the Kremlin and lasted more than two hours. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the meeting was comprehensive and that the presidents discussed the entire agenda, including specific cooperation in the energy sector, particularly oil.

Putin had previously stated that the strategic partnership and cooperation between Moscow and Caracas form a solid foundation for the further expansion of multilateral ties in the long run.

Maduro arrived in Moscow on May 7. Following the talks, he will remain in Russia to attend events marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
