Russia decides on retaliatory measures against Germany
Moscow, September 7 (Hibya) - The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Germany's Consulate General in St. Petersburg must cease its operations by September 18, 2026, and that Goethe-Institut cultural centers in Russia must suspend their activities.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that retaliatory measures had been taken in response to Germany's "hostile actions."
According to the ministry's statement, Germany's Consulate General in St. Petersburg must cease its operations no later than September 18, 2026.
The statement also said that a decision had been taken to suspend the activities of Goethe-Institut cultural centers operating in Russia.
