Saidov meets FAO Director-General Dongyu
Tashkent, October 5 (Hibya) - Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov said he discussed his country’s comprehensive agricultural reforms and opportunities to further develop cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) during his meeting with FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu.
Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov said he was pleased to welcome FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu to Uzbekistan.
Saidov said Uzbekistan has a broad cooperation agenda with the United Nations and its specialized agencies, adding that these relations are steadily developing across all priority areas.
Saidov said cooperation with the FAO is also gaining new substance each year, adding, “During our meeting, we discussed Uzbekistan’s comprehensive reforms in the agricultural sector and the prospects for further developing cooperation with the organization.”
