The two sides discussed the latest political developments related to the Palestinian issue and a number of bilateral matters.

Shaheen expressed appreciation for Russia’s firm and supportive stance on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and the historical and brotherly relations between the two countries. He also touched on developments in the political and field situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and Israel's ongoing violations against the people.

The meeting also addressed the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and mechanisms for aid delivery. Shaheen stressed the need for urgent international intervention to ensure sustainable humanitarian aid delivery.

Ambassador Buachidze reiterated his country’s firm and supportive position on the rights of the Palestinian people and reaffirmed Russia’s commitment to supporting efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in accordance with international law and legitimacy.
