According to a statement from the ministry, Palestinian Foreign Minister Shaheen received a call from South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun-ho.

Shaheen stressed that the genocide committed against the Palestinian people will not end unless Israel is compelled to abide by international law.

Highlighting the legal and moral responsibility of the international community, Shaheen called on South Korea to recognize the State of Palestine.

Cho Hyun-ho, for his part, expressed his country’s deep concern about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, stating that he believes Israeli policies, including settlements, undermine the chances for a two-state solution.
