The Syrian Presidency announced that President Ahmed Sharaa received UN High Commissioner for Refugees representative Brahim Salih and his accompanying delegation at the People's Palace in Damascus.

According to a statement issued by the Syrian Presidency, Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad al-Shaibani also attended the meeting.

The meeting addressed efforts to strengthen cooperation between Syria and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The meeting also assessed efforts to support the voluntary and safe return of refugees to their country, as well as the development of livelihoods and early recovery projects.
