Sharif held a phone call with Austrian Chancellor Stocker
Islamabad, April 9 (Hibya) - Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that during his conversation with Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker, they agreed on support for Pakistan's diplomatic efforts in the Iran-US ceasefire process and on the importance of sustaining regional peace.

Referring to the nature of the conversation and mediation efforts, Sharif said, "We fondly recalled our meeting in Vienna, and I expressed my gratitude for his strong support for Pakistan's sincere efforts to secure the Iran-US ceasefire and bring both sides back to the negotiating table."
Emphasizing that they shared a common position on the continuity of peace, Sharif said, "We agreed that it is imperative for all sides to maintain the ceasefire and continue efforts for a lasting peace in the region and beyond."
