Podgorica, October 16 (Hibya) - Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajic highlighted imported inflation, rising energy and food prices, and geopolitical uncertainties during meetings held as part of the World Economic Forum, stating that the Euro model represents a long-term and sustainable protection mechanism.
Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajic discussed global economic challenges during his meetings with experts as part of the World Economic Forum.
In his statement, Spajic said that imported inflation, largely affected by the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, along with rising energy and food prices and unpredictable geopolitical developments, poses serious challenges.
Spajic stated that the Euro model is a necessary reform under these circumstances, noting that subsidies and discount campaigns can provide only short-term relief.
Spajic emphasized that making the wage structure and tax system more resilient would create a long-term and sustainable mechanism to protect citizens' living standards.
