UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer drew attention to the airspace violation and the need for civilian protection.

Referring to the scale of the attack and Russia’s conduct, Starmer said, “Last night, a Russian drone entered Romanian airspace, struck a residential building, and injured civilians.”

Starmer added, “Russia has repeatedly demonstrated that it has no respect for civilian life, international law, or the sovereignty of its neighbors.”

Emphasizing the shared determination of allies, Starmer concluded his statement by saying, “We stand with Ukraine, Romania, and all NATO allies.”
