Sweden Resumes Visa Services in Islamabad
Islamabad, July 7 (Hibya) – Following the Bilateral Political Consultations held between the Foreign Ministries of Pakistan and Sweden on July 2, 2025, in Stockholm, the Swedish government has decided to resume visa services in Islamabad.
As of July 7, 2025, Pakistani citizens will again be able to apply for Schengen visas for short visits of up to 90 days to Sweden from within Pakistan.
The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the development and stated that it reflects strengthening ties between the two countries.
The Pakistani delegation at the consultations was headed by the Deputy Secretary for Europe, while the Swedish delegation was led by the Director General for Global Affairs at the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
