Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson: Declaration of intent signed for Gripen export
Stockholm, October 23 (Hibya) – Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson announced that the declaration of intent signed today represents a step toward a possible large-scale export of Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine.
Kristersson stated that the potential scope of the agreement could reach between 100 and 150 Gripen fighter jets, noting that this step would contribute to building a new and powerful Ukrainian Air Force.
The Prime Minister added that this development would strengthen the security of Ukraine, Sweden, and Europe. The declaration of intent aims to lay the groundwork for broader negotiations between the parties.
