In his statement, Cassis said:
"Upon my arrival in Shanghai, I visited Schindler, one of the pioneers of Swiss-Chinese economic cooperation. In 1980, the Schindler Group became the first Western industrial company to establish a joint venture in China. Today, we are continuing our work on an updated Free Trade Agreement to improve market access."
