Sybiha held a phone call with his Egyptian counterpart
Kyiv, November 8 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held a phone call with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Bedir Abdelatty.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha issued a statement regarding his conversation with his Egyptian counterpart, Dr. Bedir Abdelatty.
Sybiha expressed his gratitude to Egypt for its support of Ukraine’s decisions in international organizations and stated: “I also conveyed my concern about Russia’s illegal recruitment of citizens from African countries to participate in its war against Ukraine.”
He noted that they exchanged views on ways to deepen bilateral cooperation, saying:
“Despite the challenges caused by Russia’s war, Ukraine is ready to contribute to Egypt’s food security. I emphasized Egypt’s important role in the recent diplomatic efforts to end the war in Gaza. We discussed the importance of achieving lasting peace and stability in the Middle East. I invited my counterpart to visit Ukraine.”
