Lahbib: Planes are delivering supplies to communities affected by the hurricane
Brussels, November 8 (Hibya) – EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, announced that EU-funded planes are delivering vital supplies to communities affected by Hurricane Melissa.
Lahbib stated that from the EU’s aid stock warehouse in Panama City, EU-funded aircraft are transporting essential materials to the communities impacted by Hurricane Melissa.
She added that two flights have so far reached Jamaica and Haiti, and more flights are planned, saying: “In times of disaster, Europe acts swiftly and stands by those most in need.”
