Sybiha met with FAO Director-General Dongyu
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that he held a productive meeting with Qu Dongyu, Director-General of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
Sybiha thanked FAO for its support to local communities in Ukraine affected by Russian attacks.
The meeting highlighted Ukraine’s desire to deepen cooperation with FAO in areas such as demining, strengthening food systems, and processing agricultural production. Sybiha reaffirmed Ukraine’s commitment as an FAO Council Member to contributing to global food security.
Minister Sybiha also noted the continuation of the humanitarian initiatives “Grain from Ukraine,” launched by President Volodymyr Zelensky, and “Food from Ukraine,” aimed at supporting the Syrian people.
