Foreign Minister Sybiha emphasized that the United States is taking firm action to bring an end to Russia’s brutal war of aggression against Ukraine.

He welcomed the strong energy sanctions approved by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, as well as the bills on “Designating Russia as a State Sponsor of Terrorism,” the “REPO Implementation Act,” and the “Countering China and Russia Act,” stating:

“These moves demonstrate the strong leadership of President Trump and his administration, as well as the bipartisan and bicameral support of the U.S. Congress. Applying maximum pressure on Russia and cutting off the sources of funding for its war machine is a means of moving closer to a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace.”
