Sybiha: We will strengthen relations with Nepal
Kyiv, April 30 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha discussed trade, agriculture and security issues with Nepal’s new Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha held a phone call with Nepal’s new Foreign Minister Deuba.
Sybiha congratulated his counterpart on her appointment and expressed his wishes to strengthen bilateral relations. The discussion particularly focused on increasing cooperation in trade and agriculture.
The parties also explored new opportunities to expand the partnership between Ukraine and Nepal.
The conversation also addressed Russia’s attempts to systematically recruit foreign nationals in its war against Ukraine. It was emphasized that stronger international cooperation is needed to prevent such activities.
Sybiha also drew attention to allegations that Russia is forcibly deporting Ukrainian children, stating that this requires a stronger international response.
Thanking Nepal for its support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, Sybiha welcomed its backing of the United Nations General Assembly resolution “Promoting a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine.” He also invited the Nepali side to visit Ukraine.
