Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani commented on the result achieved by Forza Italia with the party’s candidate Fabio Roscioli in the by-election in Reggio Calabria.

Tajani said, “Forza Italia won the by-election in Reggio Calabria by a clear margin and led the center-right with our candidate Fabio Roscioli.”

Thanking those who worked for the result, Tajani also acknowledged the contributions of Roberto Occhiuto and Ciccio Cannizzaro and invited Roscioli to join their group in the Chamber of Deputies. Tajani said, “In the coming months, he will represent the demands of the people of Reggio and Calabria in the best possible way.”

Tajani said the election result showed that Forza Italia remains strong in the region and continues to have deep roots among the public, stating, “It is confirmation of our party’s strength in the region, its roots among the people and its ability to bring citizens and different groups together around serious, shared ideas embraced by the public.”

Stating that Forza Italia is one of the fundamental elements of the center-right founded by Silvio Berlusconi, Tajani said, “In these elections too, we confirm that we are and will remain a pillar of the center-right that Berlusconi founded, laid the foundations for and led to success.”

Tajani addressed Roscioli with the words, “Welcome Fabio, forward Forza Italia.”
