Tajani: We received assurances from the Americans that they will not create instability
Rome, 23 February (Hibya) - Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani stated that they received assurances from U.S. officials that business stability would be preserved.
Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani commented on the United States’ new tariff regulations and Supreme Court decisions.
Referring to the main agenda item of the meeting, Tajani said, “I participated in an important G7 Trade Ministers’ meeting in Brussels to immediately raise the issue of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on tariffs. We received assurances from the Americans that they will not create instability for our businesses.”
Emphasizing the importance of cooperation in managing the process, Minister Tajani added, “It is important to continue working constructively with Washington for a swift transition to the new system. On both sides of the Atlantic, we share a common goal: predictability for our businesses, a strengthened economic partnership, and a renewed commitment to growth.”
